A daily phenomenon I encounter while writing this: What animates one side, on any given day, is something the other side hasn’t heard the faintest whisper of. Sometimes what’s caught on on either side is even a discovery for me. In today’s case, I hadn’t heard of this insane murder story inflaming the left right now.
As always, Who Broke It aims to close these gaps so you don’t have to do the heavy lifting. But if you’re inclined to lift just one finger, today would be a perfect day to share this post with a friend to get the good word out.

I TOLD YOU SO: Libs are punching their gloat card aggressively after Trump acknowledged Project 2025 was the one all along. Basically every post went like this: Remember when Trump denied it? But mainstream media said we were lying? I / we / other we / Kamala Harris / Joe Biden / Democrats tried to warn you! So fuck anyone who didn’t listen! Of course, it’s possible to be reflective about the introduction and implementation of Project 2025 in a way that doesn’t smell of snark, as modeled by Resistor Vic (wearing the tallest cowboy hat I’ve ever seen).
JUST ASKING QUESTIONS: Despite authorities finding “no evidence of arson” in a fire that destroyed a liberal judge’s house, creators on the left are tilling the fields of skepticism. There’s casual querying — “pretty weird, right?” — from Under the Desk. Harry Sisson went coy: it’s “just peculiar.” Marcus DiPaola questioned whether this could be “out of the blue.” Aaron Parnas and Philip DeFranco played it more responsibly, emphasizing lack of intel to be able to draw the conclusion their base craves. Jesse Dollemore, on the other hand, went with this headline: “MAGA Nuts Suspected in BOMBING.”
IGNORING THE SIGNS: I am as confused as a lot of people about why this hasn’t blown up. A 17-year-old stalker allegedly killed two teen girls with his car and then livestreamed about it. One TikToker thinks it’s flying under the radar because Vincent Battiloro is white. Creators are blaming Battiloro’s support of Charlie Kirk — and wondering why Kirk’s supporters won’t renounce this violence. Also in play, is Battiloro’s association with the manosphere. Julia Fox reposted this video from Blackbeltbabe urging parents to wake up to their “sons being radicalized into women-hating terrorists.”
MOCK DEBATE: If “debate me” is a threat, Adam Mockler is squaring up. The Gen-Z YouTuber is riding a three-headed donkey into the fight: posting videos on his channel, suiting up for CNN, and bearing down on Michael Knowles’ Bar Fight debate show. You can get a good look at his background and battleplan on FYPod where they break the news that he’s not gay.
FROM THE RIGHT WING:
TEXTUAL EVIDENCE: The leaked texts from the Democrat running for AG in Virginia are very bad. And for that reason, a story that “happened on Friday, in October, during football season,” became the right’s next crusade. Vince Dao and Black Conservative Project are positioning Jay Jones as both the average blood-lusting Dem and the face of Antifa. Abigail Spanberger, the Dem candidate for governor, is taking a ton of heat for not calling on Jones to drop out. Their bottom line: “VIRGINIA’S DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL WANTS YOUR CHILDREN TO DIE.”
Some of the texts ALL-NIGHT DESPISAL: The next boycott is brewing. Zach Bryan’s new song hasn’t dropped yet, but the snippet has MAGA up in arms. (Not sure the arms ever really go down at this point). Framing a guy who just broke the record for largest ticketed U.S. concert ever as a no-name nobody is tough, but they’re trying it anyway. Their hope is that he gets the Bud Light treatment, taking a major business hit. Ryan Fournier says he looks like he sits down when he pees. Got him good.
NO TAKE BACKS: Might I suggest a brand partnership with Warby Parker to fix the flaw of shortsightedness? Last week, Theo Von, podcaster and son of an immigrant, complained about DHS using a clip of him in a since-deleted video promoting deportation. Less expected is streamer Adin Ross pulling back, regretting that no one wants to get to know him for who he actually is because he went all in for Trump.
TO FLEE OR NOT FLEE: I regularly read Curtis Yarvin’s Substack. But I was ultra compelled to read the Dark Enlightenment figurehead’s most recent post because I saw an excerpt that mentioned he was thinking about leaving the U.S. Except when I sat down to read it, that line was nowhere to be found. Curiouser and curiouser …
THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE:
FINDING THE PEARL: The Maine oyster farmer running for Senate knows exactly how to shuck ‘em. A clip from his recent town hall is sitting at 2.7M views on IG, 2.5M on Twitter, and 767K on TikTok — it’s not posted on his YouTube which is a mistake!!! He takes 60 seconds to shut up his own supporters who are shaming another attendee asking about “free benefits” for “illegals.”
DO IT FOR THE VLOG: Among all the other things they’ve got going on, the Dept. of Homeland Security is making time to keep the feeds fed. Since Oct 1, they’ve released 13 high-quality, produced videos — spanning from an ICE Air ad, to a hosted video, to multiple first-person-shooter style body cam edits, and an inevitable Zach Bryan troll. And that’s not even counting the “come with me” style BTS vlogs Benny Johnson produced and posted from his ride-along.
